自己紹介は場面によってそれほど大きく変える必要はありません。自己紹介の一部、あるいは全部を使い回すこともできますから、「内容のある自己紹介」をあらかじめ考え、ノートに書き、暗記をしておくといいでしょう。

Hi everyone.
My name is takehikom ... turkey-hick-oh-em!
I'm a teaching staff of Wakayama University, and teaching computer engineering such as programming or information security in class, I'm engaged in the research of database systems and information retrieval. My laboratory is aiming at providing a small-scale but practical Google-like search environment, by combination of hardware, software, and Internet technology.
I think... I am probably the heaviest in the academic staffs in my department.
So, taking care of my health, I everyday go to the university by train and bus not by car.
Sometimes I ride the "Tama Train". That is full of the cat Tama's illustrations on its exterior and interior. It's very cute!
And then, away from the university, a risk of an earthquake on Wakayama, or the financial crisis of Japan, ... I'm a father of four daughters.
The eldest is three years old and the youngest was born this year. And the in-between daughters are the twins. They are so lovely but two one-year-old girls mess a room with toys and books now.
When my wife and the eldest daughter clean up, I take a bath with the second and the third daughters in order.
